We understand the importance of individuality and the vital role it plays in the provision of person-centred care. Our aim is to deliver services that are built around people, and genuinely co-created by the people they serve and those involved in their provision. We aspire to do this by adopting collaborative approaches in the consultation, organisation and delivery of care.
Our home care services vary according to individual needs and are provided to support or facilitate Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s), these are a series of basic activities performed by individuals on a daily basis and are necessary for independent living at home or in the community. Our compassionate, trained care staff can visit your home to help with a variety of tasks, Our care services cover:
Personal hygiene – bathing/showering, grooming, nail care, and oral care
Dressing - assistance to make appropriate clothing decisions and physically dress/undress oneself
Eating - assistance with feeding
Maintaining continence - assistance to use a restroom, including getting on and off the toilet and cleaning oneself
Transferring/Mobility- assistance with moving oneself from seated to standing, getting in and out of bed, and support to walk independently from one location to another
In addition to our home care services we also support and facilitate Instrumental Activities of Daily Living, which are actions that are important to being able to live independently, but are not necessarily required on a daily basis. Our support services include:
Basic communication - such as assistance with using a regular phone, mobile phone, email, or the Internet
Transportation - either by driving oneself, arranging rides, or support to use public transportation
Meal preparation - meal planning, cooking, clean up, storage, and the assistance to safely use kitchen equipment and utensils
Shopping - support to make appropriate food and clothing purchase decisions
Housework - doing laundry, washing dishes, dusting, vacuuming, and maintaining a hygienic place of residence
Managing medications - assistance with taking accurate dosages at the appropriate times, managing re-fills, and avoiding conflicts
Managing personal finances - support with operating within a budget, writing checks, paying bills, and avoiding scams
One of our care managers will visit you at home to conduct a free assessment of your needs and work collaboratively with you to create a home care plan. Our home care services are provided through a care package and can be received daily, weekly, overnight or by a live-in carer.
We are dedicated to matching our staff to your individual needs and personality and consistency of care is paramount to our service so whenever possible, the same staff will provide care at each visit, on a schedule that is convenient for you.
Our Care Staff
Our carers are the core of our business which is why we ensure they receive the support, guidance and development they need. All carers complete Mandatory Training and undergo a DBS Check to ensure they are fully compliant.
We are committed to giving back and improving the rates of pay for carers. MediGreat Health provides carers with the opportunity to earn residual commission by joining our care network.
